25.03.2021Interiorprotect Ltd. attended the European Fire Safety Community digital Roundtable, co-organized by Fire Safe Europe, on "Energy-efficient & fire safe renovations under the EU Green Deal: opportunities for cities, countries, and Europe as a whole". The event took place on 23 March, 2021.
The speakers from the European Parliament and the Council, European Commission, World Green Building Council and the European Fire Safety Community presented the benefits of the Renovation Wave Initiative, aligned with the EU Green Deal`s priorities. Building renovation offers a big opportunity to cut emissions, create jobs, improve healthy and safe housing, upgrading building standards both for fire safety, indoor air quality, accessibility and energy efficiency.
Dr. Eng. Lydia Kostova, a member of the European Fire Safety Community, proposed the European Construction Products Regulation for public buildings to be adjusted for residential and private houses to satisfy the material fire performance requirements in building renovation.
