02.11.2021Dr. Eng. Lydia Kostova, manager at Interiorprotect Ltd. and a Community member, took part in the Summit: "Fire Safety for Buildings: Who cares?", held on October 28th, 2021.
Today, neither renovation nor new construction can be done without taking into account fire safety. Building fires are a sustainability issue: they impact society, the environment and the economy.
The full event was conducted by Sian Hughes, Member of the European Parliament and Bianca Cerrato ( Fire Safe Europe ) and carried out in four Breakouts:
Breakout 1: Where are the regulations today?; Breakout 2: New Risks: Are new sustainable technologies and efficient material introducing new fire safety risks?; Breakout 3: Consumer Road - What are the new initiatives that improve fire safety in buildings?; Breakout 4: Scientific Route: A presentation of scientific research and results in formulating tools to measure buildings` fire safety.
Lydia Kostova participated in the discussions and had the opportunity to network with the European Fire Safety Communities Members and shared her views on buildings` fire safety.
