27.11.2017A round table “Fire Safety in Façade Insulation Engineering”, organized by the Bulgarian Association for Construction Insulation, was held on 22nd November 2017 www.izolacii.eu. European and national governmental authorities, building associations’ and companies’ experts participated in the discussion. Dr. Eng. Lydia Kostova, owner of INTERIORPROTECT company, producing new fire safety products, took an active part in the discussions. She shared the European Commission objectives for improved fire testing of cladding materials, including smoke emissions and firefighter cancer risks. Eng. Kostova underlined concerns about fire regulations in buildings that should also consider the cost of deaths, injuries and firefighter casualties.
