ABSTRACT: The flammable materials like the natural cellulosic materials, applied in the interior of modern homes, public buildings and transportation means are an important factor in the fire and security assessment. The halogen-free flame retardants reduce the risk of fire by increasing the initial resistance to ignition, slowing down burning rates and the rate of heat, smoke and toxic gas release from polymers with different physical and chemical properties and structure, especially textiles, wood, paper, corrugated board and items made of them.
